Experience:

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred with minimum of 5 to 10 years years IT, including time spent in preparatory positions including computer hardware and software.
  • Three year Supervisory Experience.
  • Experience with system conversion, new system installations and network development.
  • Past experience in report writing and development and programming and coding skills.
  • Past experience with Symitar Network, OpCom and other Jack Henry products desirable. 

Responsibilities:
Oversee and Administer all functions of Information Technology and Security.

Oversee IT risk assessment and risk audits to ensure these are conducted and functions in place as required.

Plan and oversee implementation of all system enhancements, in-house programming, upgrades and integration of various information systems.

Management all standards and procedures/policies related to the system and provide published instruction manuals and documents of system use. Manages development and updating of Disaster Recovery Plan (BCP).

Develops annual technology plan – performs research, evaluates, recommends, seeks funding, and develops capital and maintenance budgets for all aspects of the credit union’s LAN’, WAN’s, PC systems.

Prioritize all aspects of any new project and schedules for creation and implementation.

Conducts research, identifies vendors, develops request for proposals (RFP), analyzes proposals and recommends sound strategies for both small and large-scale technical projects. Stays abreast of technology enhancements and provides recommendations.

Responsibilities:
Ensure Information Systems and Network computing systems are operating efficiently, and computing standards are implemented and enforced: install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware.

Responsible for monitoring host systems and peripheral equipment for the purpose of uninterrupted core data processing and batch program jobs.

Maintain essential network infrastructure, phone systems, operations systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, PCs, local and mid-range server hardware, backups and recoveries.

Recommend and research enhancements to system key components.

Analyze problems and provide technical assistance to solve them.

Communication and arrange with vendors for upgrades, patches and replacement of software and hardware products.

Perform duties of a LAN/WAN Admin to ensure working conditions of workstations including software license management. Perform network troubleshooting.

Adhere to IT policy standards for use, operations and security of network, personal computers and data including coordination of network schedule, backups, and downtime with users. Help Desk assistance.
